A Dual Celebration: Shadrach's 3rd Anniversary & IBW 2017

Last Sunday, October 1, 2017, Shadrach's Collection held their 3rd Anniversary Celebration at the Activity Area of the Robinson's Novaliches Mall. The big bash also kickstarted the beginning of International Babywearing Week 2017. The event ran from 11 AM - 3 PM and was packed with lots of activities for the whole family.  

There were a lot of speakers like Chris Torrance from Ambension Silk Enterprise and the delegates from Tempra. There were video and live testimonies from moms about the benefits of babywearing and how it changed their lives. There was a live demonstration from Ann Santos, a babywearing expert and vlogger, on how to use a ring sling and a woven wrap. There were also discussions on breastfeeding, milk supply, and mutual funds.

There were also games for dads, babywearing zumba and a fashion show featuring the upcoming 2018 collection from Shadrach's. Aside from all this, there were mompreneur booths where you can see the items and then order online with a discount. How amazing is that? Check out the highlights below!

I love going to celebrations like this because I see all the happy people that advocate babywearing, which I am passionate about. As a working mom, a baker and a blogger, babywearing is very important to me and has let me do so many things while still having my son near. Babywearing has always been part of the Filipino culture and I am so happy that many parents nowadays have adapted this wonderful parenting hack.

Shadrach's Collection, led by mommy Jennelyn Torrefiel Alegrabez, will be celebrating their third anniversary as one of the best companies that sell baby carriers. They are known for their woven wraps and ring slings that come in an array of wonderful colors and weaves. Along with celebrating their anniversary, this extravaganza will also be held in honor of International Babywearing Week.

Babywearing is the art of using carriers to "wear" children in order for the wearer to do additional tasks while having the child near. This is perfect for parents without helpers or those constantly on the go. IBW aims to promote babywearing for all families and educate on the proper way to babywear and teach about the importance and benefits it brings.

There will be hundreds of celebrations going on around the globe and we invite everyone to join us this Sunday at the Robinson's Novaliches Activity Center to take part in the celebration. There will be speakers to educate newbies about babywearing and there will be a Mompreneur bazaar as well. Games, raffles, and giveaways are always on the menu and be treated to a babywearing flash mob!
