Iconic 2.0 Trunk Show!

The first Ju-Ju-Be and Tokidoki collaboration was the Iconic, a mish-mash of adorable characters on a yellow backdrop. It has been one of the most coveted designs so far and many fans have been asking for a reprint. Instead of a reprint, Ju-Ju-Be and Tokidoki bring us another amazing mish-mash of our well-loved characters now without a colored backdrop but with an amazing velvet blue lining. Once again I went to CEO Emporium to catch the newest collab called Iconic 2.0.

Like the past trunk shows, there is a line of Jujumamas who want to get their hands on Iconic 2.0. The trunk show began at exactly 3 PM at the CEO Emporium HQ. I was literally dazzled by how amazing this new print is. I thought it would be like Tokipops that looked super girly, but this looked more amazing as it had darker hues which makes it more unisex. And the lining! Oh, the lining! It's this deep bluish-purple mix that made my heart (and wallet) weep.

I said I was adulting but couldn't keep my hands off a few choice must-haves. For me, it usually is a Be Light and Mini Be, but this time my heart went pitter pat over the Be Sassy which looked spectacular in this print. Iconic 2.0 is a must-have for all the fans of the original Iconic. I also got a Be Quick because, well, because. Who doesn't need another quick? This print would also be great for kids going back to school especially the Be Packed which looks like a school bag, and the Be Dapper which is a toiletry kit that they can use as a pencil case.

It's my favorite time of the year!!! January and Baby Company brings you the Grand Baby Fair Year 8, once again at the SM Megatrade Hall 1-3. It runs as early as January 25 with a sneak peek for Mom Card, BDO rewards card, and SMAC card holders. Event proper is from Jan. 26-28 with the doors opening at 10 AM until the mall closes. Their tagline for this year is "the grandest baby fair to the moon and back" with cutesy galaxy designs and spacemen and astronauts abound. There are lots of great deals and discounts start from 10% off up to 70% off on the widest selection of baby & family-oriented brands like Goo.N diapers, Aveeno, Ecomom, Cycles & Cradle, Crane, and many more! Every day brings a new set of speakers who are celebrities and experts in all things baby. There are also fun contests where there are lots of prizes at stake. Just watch out for the rubber humps on the floor that make walking and pushing a cart around a nightmare.

I went with two of my mommy friends and spent a good chunk of the day going round and round the 3 halls filled with baby stuff. Our targets were to shop wisely and stick to our P5000 budget. Why that amount? For the Swag Bag of course! Get a Swag Bag for a minimum single receipt purchase of 5000, just present your receipt and your Mom Card at the Swag Bag booth. They have 2 booths: 1 by the exit and 1 by the escalators. I proudly say we stuck to our goal and went just a tiny bit over budget. Here are our top picks for today:

There is a really long line at the cashier but it moves quickly so don't despair. Plus if you're a breastfeeding momma you can find the breastfeeding room at the end of the hall where the cashiers are.  Also, if you need help transporting your purchases from the Megatrade Hall to the taxi bay, there are staff who help you push your carts, you just have to get a number from their head security. Before you leave, get your photo taken at the photo booth by the entrance. They give out free prints and are happy to take a picture using your cell phone. I and my friends had a blast at the Grand Baby Fair as always, we missed some booths like Lillebaby Philippines and toy booths but it was still great fun going around hunting for bargains. You still have two days to check it out so make sure to include dropping by the Grand Baby Fair part of your weekend!

What does Georgina Wilson-Burnand and Chicco have in common? Love for babies! Because of this, they are now partners in bringing amazing baby gear to babies and  Filipino families. Georgina is known for being a top international model and influential style icon for women. She married hunky Brit hotelier Arthur Burnand last 2016 and they now have an adorable baby boy named Archie. She is a proud user and endorser of Chicco, the best-selling brand of baby gear that has garnered international awards.

Chicco is a proudly Italian brand of baby gear, they have been selling carriers, strollers, cribs, toys and so much more since 1958. Georgina has chosen Chicco for her son because their baby gear is easy to use and has passed safety regulations of numerous countries. I was invited to witness Georgina and Archie be introduced as the newest brand ambassadors for Chicco last November 23, 2017, at the SM Mega Fashion Hall. The event was slated for 1-5 PM and saw numerous media partners and social media influencers in attendance. I was so lucky to win their Instagram contest and was one of those chosen to have a photo onstage with Georgina. They had a mini fashion show were celebrity moms displayed the various strollers Chicco has. There was also a panel discussion with Georgina, Liza Yao of RichPrime Global and Europlay Distributor Co. Inc. and Andrea Tosa of Chicco.

There are really a lot of great baby gear from Chicco and I am glad I attended the event. Mr. Tosa, the Chicco Area Manager for Asia, revealed that there will be a big production for Chicco's upcoming 60th anniversary so let's all stay tuned to their Facebook, Instagram, and website for more news about this.
