There's this new brand that sells authentic Korean skincare at the Commune Hub and Society 8 called Seoul Struck PH. The woman behind this is Ria Piedra, a wife and mom of two adorable kids, and a self-proclaimed make-up enthusiast. She learned about make-up when she was competing in Latin dancing before, and practiced with make-up given by friends and relatives. When I asked her why she got into selling Korean make-up she shared:
As I aged, I realized one thing, too much makeup can sometimes cause skin problems such as clogged pores that may result to pimples and break outs, etc. I then learned about proper skincare. It's okay to put makep-up on but it's best to take care of your skin after. When I was working, most days I don't have spare time to do my make-up before going to work so I make sure to take care of my skin so I don't look tired and lifeless during working hours. That was when I was introduced to Korean skincare brands. Aside from being affordable, they have been effective for me. I use them as well as sell them, and there has been a huge demand for Korean skincare and cosmetics products. I found suppliers for these Korean brands that can supply items in very reasonable prices. So I decided to try and start from a small investment. And I'm now a brand partner of a known concept store. Her dream is to turn her soapmaking hobby into her own skincare line but right now it's impossible for me to sustain as she has two small kids to look after. It's already impressive that she has her line with Commune Hub and Society 8, especially since they have a vast range of clientele. I was very happy to receive a goodie bag from Seoul Struck PH and the items were perfect for my dark under eyes and sallow complexion.
They sent me a few of their best sellers to try out and I can say I am satisfied with most of them. Check out the neat package they sent me below!
The following are the face masks I tried, there are 5 different types: Milk,
Aloe, Snail, Collagen, and Green Tea. I would have to say that Collagen is my favorite as it smelled nice and my face felt tighter and lighter after using. I didn't like Aloe much (as did Hubby!) because it really smelled weird to me, though my skin was softer after using it, but I could get that softness from the other masks as well.
Check out the difference a month makes upon using the masks and eye cream! My eyebags looked a tad bit smaller and my skin is actually clearer. The photos were taken at home and show a month in between.
If you like Korean skin care, be sure to check out Seoul Struck PH's Facebook and Instagram to place your orders. They have tons more of great beauty products that are hard to score in the market like Laniege, April Skin, Moistfull, Innisfree and others. Even moms need to take care of their skin and have a great skincare routine, because looking good and feeling good go together. Remember that you can't take care of other people when you don't take care of yourself.
