Product Review: NEIT Drawstring Backpack

Product Review: NEIT Drawstring Backpack

I received an NEIT drawstring bag last February just before going on a holiday. It was sent to me by mommy Maelin of Delice Bites, and this is a new venture for this hardworking mompreneur. When asked why she named the bag "NEIT", she answered gamely: "NEIT stands for N- Nathaniel E-emmanuel I-isaac and T- timothy, mga 2nd name ng kids ko. (my children's second names)" She said the concept of the bag was born because she noticed that drawstring bags have returned to being a fad, and that since she is a mother, why not make a bag that would be more useful for women like her? Since she is a self-proclaimed DIY momma, she said once the idea got into her head she didn't stop until she made the bag successfully for retail.

When I go the bag, it looked like a regular drawstring bag at first, until I checked the stitching, the lining and found all the pockets, one zippered pocket outside and 5 open pockets inside. Mommy Maelin said she put 5 pockets inside so it can be used a diaper bag, and just to keep the contents organized. There is also two gartered loops for keys or stuff you want to be secured. She claims this bag is also good as a gym bag, a school bag, a weekend bag. It is also good to bring along when traveling as an extra bag or like I did, as a beach bag.

I took the bag along to Boracay and used it as a beach bag. It held my sunscreen, phone, monopod, wallet, sunglasses, various toys for my son and even a change of clothes. It can hold a lot of things and the woven cotton fabric is perfectly lightweight. The only pity was that it was not water resistant as being at the beach, it was bound to get wet. The good thing is that it dries easily, and after being washed, the colors remained bright and vivid.

The NEIT drawstring bag retails for P298 on Shopee and comes in various designs. You can also contact mommy Maelin on Facebook to discuss having your NEIT drawstring bag customized. All in all, I can say that this bag is a good buy and you'll get a lot of bang for your buck.

What happens when two friends who are new mothers, decide they want to have more mommy friends? Millennial Moms PH is born! According to Weber Shandwick: "Millennial Moms are mothers who were born between 1978 and 1994. Approximately one in five moms (22%) is a Millennial Mom, accounting for approximately 9 million people." Millennial Moms PH was formed with the idea that new moms and experienced moms alike need a group where they can share, inspire and connect with each other online.
Millennial Moms PH aims to provide a venue for moms to share, inspire and connect with other moms.
This is according to co-founder Mommy Dette. And now, a year after its birth, Millennial Moms PH is active and thriving with their own blogInstagramFacebook page and Facebook group. With the group's growth has come another milestone, the beginning of #MomTribe.

#MomTribe Meet-Up is an intimate gathering of moms where learning is essential and friendships are formed. The first official meet-up was held last February 11, 2017, at Poetry and Prose Patisserie in Shangri La Plaza.

The Meet-up started with an introduction game akin to speed dating, which could be called speed-friending (maybe?) and there were free refreshments as well. Then we were treated to some expert speakers like:
Gov Daswani of Sacred Cleanser on Decoding Labels
Eds Agapito of Betadine Philippines on Sorethroat Remedies
Lan San Juan - Perez of Mother Nurture on Breastfeeding and Relactation.

By the end of the two-hour meet-up, I realized that they served 3 important things for a millennial mom: food, games, and networking. If you're a millennial mom who's in need of some R and R and want to meet other moms like you, check out their FB or Instagram for announcements regarding their next meet-up. I'm sure you'll make new friends and enjoy yourself tremendously.
