Why Interactive Play is Important to Raise Independent Kids
Last April 6, 2019, Millennial Moms PH launched Family Time in partnership with Johnsons Baby PH and Aveeno Baby PH. It was held at the ABS CBN Theater of venue partner Kidzania Manila. My family was selected to attend the first ever Family Time event where there were talks about child-rearing and the importance of play by specialists in child education. Johnson's Baby PH also shared how their products like Johnson's Summer Blooms Baby Powder are useful since it keeps our kids smelling fresh and making sure their skin doesn't get sweaty or sticky then playtime and learning time can be extended for up to 12 hours.
After the event, the selected families were given time to check out the huge play area that is Kidzania Manila. The aim of Kidzania is to cater to Gen Z (Zentennials), which is the newest generation to be named and were born between 1995 and 2015. They are thought to be a generation of workers, thinkers, innovators, and leaders. Kidzania Manila is an 8,000 sqm kid-sized city with 65 interactive establishments for kids aged 4-17 years old. If your kid is below 4, then there are also some activities for them like RightZKeepers’ House and Kindergarten. My son turned 4 exactly on the day we visited so he was able to participate in some activities.
Kidzania Manila supports the Department of Education’s K to 12 Program and helps kids learn, explore, and discover in a safe and secure environment with activities designed especially with special children in mind. Kids can go around the mini-town and do jobs and earn money that they can spend at stores. I find this refreshing and a great way to teach independence for children. After touring the mini-metropolis, he decided on the Hospital Emergency Room and the Burger Shop. He was quite reluctant at first, but he quickly warmed up to the RightZKeepers in charge of each activity and was very enthusiastic in participating. As a mom, this made me very happy and proud, since I could see that the activities were helping my kid be independent and teaching him how to use critical thinking in simulated real-life situations.
My son ran to us after each activity, all smiles, and it made me decide that we were going back. Kidzania Manila is a very good place for learning, and truly incorporates teaching life skills through play time. For those interested in visiting Kidzania Manila, they have an ongoing Summer Blow Out where you can get 30% off when you buy tickets online and 20% off for walk-ins. For more information, you can check them out on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube. I definitely recommend Kidzania for those who want their kids to learn through play. It's a great place for family bonding, and it made me want to try the activities, especially the Bottling Plant and the Bakeshop. What Kidzania Manila activity would you like to try?

Johnson's Play Days 2019: Active Play Helps Kids Learn
Johnson's Play Days 2019: Active Play Helps Kids Learn
Millennial Moms Ph invited me to join them last March 24, 2019, in the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall, where Johnson's Baby Philippines launched Play Days 2019: Sa Laro Natututo - which encourages parents to play with their children as playing leads the way to learn. There were different play areas to promote the following learning activities for children: Creativity, Problem Solving, Teamwork, and Body Coordination. Johnson's encourages parents to use their newest product, Johnson's Baby Powder Blooms, which is their most fragrant powder and will keep little ones fresh for up to 8 hours even as they play under the summer heat.
The Johnson's Baby Philippines event had parents lead their kids around the activity area to experience the Blue Think Tub, Pink Showdance Zone, Yellow Imagiland and Flower Zone. The Blue Think Tub has puzzle pieces that kids have to figure out how they fit on the cutouts on the wall. The Pink Showdance Zone has a bubble machine and a dacnefloor where kids could put on a show. The Yellow Imagiland has big blocks in assorted shapes that kids could use to build whatever they imagine. The Flower Zone had a slide, rubber tires and other toys for active play. There were servers going around giving snacks for both youngsters and their guardians, and tables where adults can hang out while the little ones play. Celebrity moms Isha Borromeo and Melai Cantiveros-Francisco shared their own experiences in being moms and how much they trust Johnson's baby products for their own little ones. They also went around the play zones with their adorable kids and joined the other families in playing at each zone.
Active play allows children to learn basic skills that will benefit them as they grow older, plus showing them that learning can be fun and exciting. The worldwide leader in baby care, Johnson's Baby Philippines understands that parents want the best for their children. They encourage using Johnson's baby products for your kids to help them keep cool and fresh as they play outdoors. Johnson's suggests using Johnson's Shiny Drops Shampoo with Johnson's Powder Blooms to protect the kiddos from yucky odors and sticky skin as they play real games instead of being stuck on their gadgets. Learn more about Johnson's Baby Philippines by visiting them on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.

Experience Extreme Freshness with Downy Sports!
Experience Extreme Freshness with Downy Sports!
Downy Sports is the world's first and only fabric enhancer with 24-hour odor protection for clothes designed to give long lasting freshness even on sweaty days. To prove this, Downy Sports recently held the 24-Hour All-Star Freshness Challenge at the Kerry Sports Plaza at Shangri-La at The Fort. It was hosted by Bianca Gonzalez-Intal and featured celebrity-led teams headed by actress and vlogger Alex Gonzaga, as well as soccer player and fitness enthusiast Nico Bolzico. They held many action-packed activities like lay-up matches, dribbling obstacle course and a basketball game.

Team Alex was comprised of Thirdy Ravena, Michele Gumabao and Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan. While Kianna Dy, Joanne Villablanca, and Anton Del Rosario were on Team Nico. Both teams were coached by professional basketball stars like LA Tenorio, JC Intal, Asi Taulava, Jeff Chan, Marc Pingris and Robert Bolick. They all wore jerseys rinsed with Downy Sports, whose innovative malodor-removing technology is activated by friction. Rubbing the clothes release perfume bubbles that keep the fabrics fresh-smelling all day long even after intense activity.
As a mom, this is an amazing new product especially since my son and husband are both sports enthusiasts. They play basketball almost daily and my son loves playing under the sun in the playground. These activities make them both sweaty and stinky so I am very excited to try Downy Sports on their clothes. Downy Sports is now available at all leading supermarkets and retailers nationwide, and online via Shopee. Learn more by visiting their Facebook page.
