Spa Review: Banayad Organics

Spa Review: Banayad Organics

I'm one of those girls who love getting a massage and I'm married to one of those guys who loves massages too. We've gone far and wide in search of affordable spas and massage home service businesses and I must say we hit the jackpot with Banayad Organics. We've been calling them regularly for massages for a year now and we have been very happy with the results.

Banayad Organics is the brain child of sisters Gjyzle and Zepfhra Quiton. I had the chance to talk to Zepfhra and asked her how they started and what's up with the name, and she was very candid with the story:

"Ang isa sa inspiration namin was our lola. She used to be a hilot when she was still here. Kaya napakalaking influence nya sa amin. Sa kanya din nakuha ng sister ko yung pagka-hilig nya sa field na yan. Yung sister ko has been in the massage industry for 5 years na. Tapos napansin namin na halos walang nag-ooffer ng mga organic massage oils sa mga spa. So we set up a home massage service last year. We promote healthy and organic living kaya we don't use mineral oil that is being widely used in the market. Bakit traditional Filipino herbs? Kasi nakakalimutan na ng mga tao ngayon ang importance ng mga yun. Kaya gusto namin na i-introduce ulit sa kanila through massage and our massage oils. Why Banayad? Banayad means gentle. I want them to feel relaxed through the gentle hands of our therapists."

The massage experience starts with their therapist setting up a station for her oils and candles (if aromatherapy is requested, which I did). Then comes an hour of full body bliss. Their therapists are fully trained; to be part of Banayad they passed trainings and TESDA certification. They are well mannered and very good at their job. I can say they rank up there with the in-house massage at Nuat Thai or Wensha.

This November they have a Massage Madness promo which runs until November 30th. For more information on Banayad Organics you can check them out on Facebook and Instagram. I recommend them for people like me who want a luxurious massage without having to step out of the house, truly relaxing and stress free.
